PayPal experienced Cyber Monday problems

We’ve seen some reports that PayPal had some problems processing payments on Cyber Monday. Were you affected?

It seems that the problems were intermittent and lasted for roughly an hour mid-afternoon UK time. It’s unclear whether the problems were isolated to US users or those globally.

Here’s what PayPal had to say about the issue: “Earlier today, PayPal experienced a brief, intermittent interruption in our service. We have resolved the issue and customers can pay with PayPal on Cyber Monday.”

We spotted a few grumbles about the inability to pay and do business during the day but this glitch does appear to have been minor in the grander scheme of things.

Do let us know if you suffered anything more serious.
