Tamebay’s 10k: Thank you and here’s to the future

No primary category set

Last night Dan called me and said “The next post we publish will be our 10,000th post on Tamebay” and we thought we should mark the milestone and thank you, all our friends, readers, partners and advertisers.

I still remember the excitement of sitting down and writing the first ever post on Tamebay back in November 2006. Post number 1 was a very short post noting that our much missed Sue and I had been to eBay University in Exeter along with Dan. Naturally for us writers, much vodka had been drunk in a Russian restaurant that night and Tamebay was born.

It’s hard to believe that since then we’ve written another 9,998 posts and if you’re reading this you’ll know we’ve pressed the publish button on our 10,000th post.

Dan adds: I don’t remember the Russian restaurant. But I do recall suggesting to Sue and Chris that what they needed was a blog.

The scope of Tamebay over the last nearly-ten years has developed over time from a small blog with a pure eBay focus to a news site for online retailers, marketplace sellers and and ecommerce SMEs. We’re really proud to have hit the 10k milestone. And at the rate we’re going we should hit 20k in about half of the time we got to 10k.

Thanks for all your enthusiasm and help over the years, especially with story tip offs, and all best wishes for your businesses.

And don’t forget we will be having a party in November for Tamebay’s 10th Birthday.

  1. It’s a great site and often breaks news of interest to anyone earning a living online, which will soon be most people.

    Keep up the good work.

  2. Congratulations both of you! Tamebay is always interesting and usually first with the news – I really appreciate it! Here’s to the next 10,000 posts 🙂

  3. Congratulations guys, always indispensable advice. One of the only newsletters we actually follow. And my staff. James
