If you’re an Etsy user, you’ll want to know about these changes to the terms and conditions regarding their service that will come into play on the 10th of July. You can read more on the dedicated landing page here called ‘Our House Rules.”
There’s more detail in the email sent to sellers. And, as they say in the email sent to users regarding major changes, the full changes can be viewed online here. A few salient details are quoted below.
“Disputes with Etsy: We updated the ‘Disputes with Etsy’ section of our Terms of Use to note that Etsy will cover the costs of certain arbitration claims filed by users. We also gave all users the right to opt out of any future changes to the ‘Disputes with Etsy’ section. Finally, we clarified when users can assert a claim in small claims court and how the section applies to users located in certain regions and countries.
Privacy: At Etsy, we care deeply about privacy, and we believe in transparence. In drafting this updated version of our Privacy Policy, our aim was to provide greater transparence by providing more information on the ways in which we use your personal information and how our services work. The revisions to our Privacy Policy have also been made with a view to some of the new requirements of upcoming European legislation.”
