No primary category set

Unforgettable is a marketplace founded by James Ashwell after he cared for his mother with early onset dementia, their goal is to improve the lives of those living with dementia and their caregivers and families.

What is Dementia?

There are 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia and some 40% of population care for or know someone living with dementia. With 13million + people in the UK aged 65 and over, dementia is one of the fastest growing conditions in the world with 140m expected to be affected by 2050.

Dementia is a collection of symptoms that occur when the brain cells stop working properly. There are around 200 types of dementia and symptoms include:

  • Memory loss and confusion
  • Change of personality
  • Difficulty carrying out everyday tasks
  • Alzheimer’s disease is one specific cause of dementia and the most common

The Unforgettable Proposition

Unforgettable offers information and advice, with over 800 articles, to support people on the journey and bring traffic to the site. They have a support network for caregivers with a highly active Facebook group as well as 1000+ life changing products from 75+ partners (including an Unforgettable branded range).

Unforgettable is one of the UK’s first certified B Corporations, committed to using business as a force for good. The business donates 10% of their profits (or £10k per year whichever is greater) to the Unforgettable Foundation.

The Marketplace

Today the marketplace attracts over 200k monthly visitors and outstanding customer sentiment testament. Over 90% of products have 4 and 5* reviews and they have a Net Promoter Score of 72. The returns rate on Unforgettable runs at less than 2% – perhaps because the products are so carefully curated in the first place.

The marketplace currently sells over 1,000 products from more than 75 suppliers with key categories currently including:

  • Music and TV
  • Clocks and watches
  • Reminiscence
  • Activities
  • Trackers & Object locators
  • Telephones & mobiles
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Sleeping and Calming
  • Caregivers gifts (Journals, Books, Affirmation cards, Sleep oils etc)

Sell on the Marketplace

Unforgettable are always looking for best in class businesses to work with – their standards (and our customers) are high but this also means less competition. It is unlikely that your entire product set will be suitable, but for those products which do meet with Unforgettable’s aims there is a ready market of highly targeted customers with very specific needs waiting to buy.

In line with most Marketplaces, Unforgettable takes a percentage of every sale with the fee varying based on the category and product.
