eBay have announced the expansion of the marketplace’s team with the return of Jordan Sweetnam to eBay as senior vice president and general manager of America’s market.
Jordan will be based in San Jose and report to Jay Lee, senior vice president and general manager of markets from the beginning of 15th of July.
Jordan Sweetnam will lead the marketplace business for the US, Canada, and Latin America. He rejoins the company, having spent 12 years at eBay earlier in his career, from Walmart where he was senior vice president, customer experience and product.
eBay say Jordan brings rich ecommerce expertise building differentiated products that delight customers and drive growth and has an extensive background working across business, product, engineering and design to deliver meaningful impact to customers.
“Jordan’s incredible experience and energy will be a huge asset in this critical leadership role, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to eBay to lead our Americas business. He has long-standing relationships with many of eBay’s seller community, is an avid customer, and will bring an invaluable perspective to the Markets leadership team.”

This role looks to essentially backfill Scott Cutler’s former position of SVP, America’s.
Cutler, along with VP Seller Experience Bob Kupbens (who also was essentially backfilled by Harry Tempkin, Wenig’s former Thomson Reuters colleague), were separated from eBay earlier this year.
Both Cutler and Kupbens were prominent faces as last year’s eBay Open, as can be seen from this eBay video:
