Pinterest has just launched a new channel on Shopify that allows merchants to target the platform’s 350M+ monthly users. The new channel will provide somewhere for merchants to be discovered by allowing them to promote themselves, make sales and help shoppers find their products.
Pinterest are said to have over 350 million monthly active users and Shopify claim that 80% of weekly Pinterest users make purchases based on a pin they liked showing how important Pinterest can be to the growth of Shopify businesses.
Key points:
- U.S. and Canadian merchants will be able reach their audience through the channel and turn existing products from their store into “Product Pins”.
- The channel will allow users to add a shop tab to their profile on Pinterest, for free organic promotion.
- Shopify merchants can promote their pins as a paid ad, bringing customers directly into their brand’s online store for purchase.
The goal for Shopify is to help the Pinterest community find the products and companies that inspire them whilst giving sellers opportunity to make more sales, reach new customers and grow their businesses. This is a big win in the constant quest to gain loyal customers.
“We’re excited to continue helping our merchants grow their businesses through this partnership. Pinterest is offering new advertisers a $100 advertising credit when they publish their first ad through Shopify! Take advantage of this and download the Pinterest channel in the Shopify App Store here.”
