As confirmed in an announcement made by eBay Australia this morning, sellers will need to meet new criteria for their Prime like service, eBay Plus. To be eligible for an eBay Plus badge, sellers must choose a free shipping option with a tracked service by early June meaning products offering untracked letter services will not display the eBay Plus badge.
Based on feedback from sellers, we’re removing Untracked Letter Service from Plus Eligibility — allowing customers a better shopping experience and having a positive effect on your listings.

Don’t panic – You can still use an untracked letter service for other listings. As long as you choose a free shipping option with a tracked service for the products you want the badge displayed on, you’ll still be eligible.
If you decide to continue using an untracked shipping service for some of your listings, this won’t impact your Plus metrics on your tracked shipping listings — as untracked shipping will not be considered a Plus service.

According to eBay this change will greatly improve the customer shopping experience whilst also benefiting sellers by placing them higher in search results.
This news comes a little over a month before eBay Plus weekend, an exclusive sales event that gives eBay Plus customers a range of offers and deals. So, if you’re planning to make the most of this event, you’ll need to make sure your listings are updated.
