TikTok stages music pop-up in London for emerging artists

TikTok will be transforming one of London’s busiest spots, King’s Cross, into a hub of music and talent discovery with a first-of-its-kind stage for emerging artists to showcase their talent in-person, and broadcast on TikTok LIVE.

Over the past five years, we’re proud that TikTok has become the home for music discovery, providing a platform for both emerging and established artists to build loyal followings by tapping into the one billion global users that love and use TikTok, including 150 million in Europe.

TikTok LIVE has provided even more opportunities for artists, allowing them to build authentic connections with superfans, whilst collecting rewards for their content. Artists like Charlie Tyler (@iamcharlietyler) and Russell James Williams (@russell.j.williams) regularly go LIVE to their 200,000+ followers, performing original music and covers on the platform, which allows them to engage more deeply with their fans and forge authentic connections.

We can focus on our passion full time thanks to TikTok LIVE. We have an amazing supportive fanbase there and TikTok LIVE has enabled us to make money from our music.

We’re only just scratching the surface of our journey – we see TikTok LIVE as a place of endless opportunities as the app develops, and we’re just getting started.

On April 24 and 25, TikTok’s LIVE music pop-up will feature standout musical performances from talented musicians who have been going LIVE for the last two months to earn the opportunity to perform on the main stage at London’s King’s Cross as well as on FYPs across the UK on TikTok LIVE (@tiktoklive_uk).

With over 913,000 followers between them, the emerging artists performing will be:

With 2.3 million followers on TikTok, Celina Sharma is an exciting independent singer-songwriter gearing up to release new music that will have the TikTok community dancing through the summer. Celina’s track, ‘Killer‘ with Girls Like You (girlslikeyouxx) is a smash on TikTok with over 240,000 video creations.

London’s rising pop star Grace Gachot is making waves. Writing seamlessly in both Spanish and English with a diverse musical journey, from her roots in musical theatre to becoming a pop sensation. ‘Built to be Bad‘ trended on TikTok last year with fans using the heartfelt lyrics to express their own experiences of a break-up. A new version, recorded with Canadian TikTok sensation Alex Sampson (@alexsampson) is set for release Friday 19 April.

TikTok’s LIVE music pop-up follows ‘TikTok In The Mix’, the first global music event which took place in Arizona in 2023, headlined by Cardi B, which reached 32 million unique viewers on TikTok LIVE. Earlier this year, we also hosted LIVE Fest, our inaugural global creator event which celebrated the impact LIVE creators have made on For You feeds as they shared ingenious creativity with the TikTok community while unlocking new ways to win rewards for their content.

The pop-up will be staged in front of the clock tower by King’s Cross station from 11am to 7pm on 24th & 25th April. TIkTok say that they can’t wait to welcome London and the TikTok community as we #discoverLIVEmusic.
