Myntra has acquired Pretr

Indian ecommerce company and marketplace Myntra has announced that it has acquired Pretr, an omnichannel platform for retail based in Mumbai India. The terms of the deal and the price have not been revealed in reports.

This acquisition will help Myntra in forging new omnichannel partnerships with brands on its platform and provide a comprehensive solution to retailers to enhance their own omnichannel journey. Pretr was founded in 2016 by Bhavik Jhaveri and Ankur Joshi, to create new retail experiences by integrating brands’ online and offline segments and provide shoppers with the most comprehensive information available.

Myntra says it is planning to partner up with 50 new brands, chosen strategically, in the coming year across all their stores. Myntra reports that has noticed the trend that online sales have been increasing because of offline presence of certain brands. Pretr will help Myntra’s private brand offline stores to deliver a much richer shopping experience to customers.

Omnichannel – one view of inventory and one view of customer irrespective of the channel, will bring the best of offline and online world to customers – the touch and feel experience of offline and the convenience of online. One of the features of Pretr will allow shoppers on Myntra a unified view of a brand’s inventory online and offline. They can then get all important value added services such as same day delivery, click and collect, and return or exchange at the brand’s stores.
