Saw that yesterday, I read the property one as daft.ie.
Right!
that beggars belief even coming from eBay.
I think it is very telling that we add on ‘even from Ebay’ to thoughts.
I am getting very boring, I imagine, of repeating the same ol’, same ol’ fact that ebay really do need to work on how they are percieved.
Allowing these ads to appear as navigation links integrated with and appearing the same as core site navigation is the worst possible design / usability sin. Would you trust a site that used deceitful tactics to get you to somewhere you didn’t imagine you were going, i.e off eBay?
Donahoe’s ‘Chaos’ theory? No, just incompetence and greed.
bizarre… what will they come up with next?!
Have just seen a DEALS button in the nav bar on .com
So it is spreading.
I see it too, John. Though I have to say, at least that is a link to eBay’s daily deals and not off-site. But “the thin end of the wedge”, I’d guess.
Is there anywhere eBay wont stick advertising? I know where I’d like them to stick it. 😈 😆
