PayPal top up cards with £10,000s instead of £100s

No primary category set

Anyone who topped up their PayPal top up card yesterday is likely to have had a nice surprise. PayPal muddled up their decimal place and in some instances added balances of thousands of pounds instead of hundreds. If for example you topped up your card but £100.00 the balance would have shown as £10,000 as the decimal point seems to have gone walkabout.

All affected cards were blocked from use while PayPal corrected the problem and by the end of to day all balances should have been adjusted and the cards free to use again.
