Since May 2010 eBay Italy has had free listings for private sellers listing in the auction format for up to 100 listings per month. They have just announced that as of January 1st this will become a , although still with the limit of 100 items each month.
All other fees including final value fees, listing upgrades and Buy It Now insertion fees will remain.

I’m trying to working out what eBay are doing with eBay Italy and France. Are the sales so weak there, so much so that they have to make it as attractive as possible for sellers to list? Has a new kid on the block come along and given eBay a run for their money? Will these changes evenually reach eBay UK?
