Amazon have announced today at ChannelAdvisor EU Catalyst that they will add a marketplace to Amazon Italy.
Amazon.it was launched in November 2010 as the eighth country site, but today they revealed their intention to add third party products to the site including Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).
We don’t have details of the fees structure or the exact launch date, but if you already sell on Amazon’s European sites (Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de and Amazon.fr) then you’ll likely want to add Amazon.it as a new marketplace.
Once Amazon is established in Italy the smart money has to go on Spain to be their next country site.

Great news however we would only use FBA by Amazon in Italy as the postal service is totally useless!
Spain is the same so we will watch that space as both will give us good opportunity to sell in that country without the risk of items going missing.
Spain is currently running at 45% of parcels lost for us this year!

I use dpd into spain and italy, with 3_4 days delivery, and no lost parcels. Airsure to spain and portugal is the only domestic service I would use as an alternative
