Doctor Who Children in Need costume auction tops £50k

No primary category set

, in aid of Children in Need, has reached very respectable £50k.

The auction was promoted during the Friday night telethon with a video vignette featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor, the Tardis and the unbiquitous partially sighted bear, Pudsey.

Here’s hoping it’s not a spoof bid, but thankfully eBay has become much better at screening bidders on high profile auctions recently than has been the case in the past.

And you can have a butchers of the video from the BBC promoting the charity auction. And never, ever forget: bow ties are cool.
