Motorcycle Parts Compatibility goes live on eBay 27/6/16

No primary category set

eBay Motors FeateBay are going to fully launch the new revised compatibility section for motorcycles from the 27th June next week. You can specify which motorcycles and scooters your parts are compatible with the aim of more sales for you and making it easier for buyers to find exactly what they’re looking for.

This is part of an ongoing process and the parts lists are constantly being updated. According to eBay, adding motorcycle parts compatibility to your listings can result in higher search rankings, better conversion rates and fewer return requests.

It’s worth remembering that this is all about visibility for your items. If you don’t use Parts Compatibility, as soon as a potential buyers enters the model of my motorcycle or scooter they will never see your items, making this one of those compulsory optional tasks that has to be done no matter how time consuming.

It’s not just on eBay either, Google are promoting (both car and motorcycle) parts listing with Parts Compatibility listing in their search results. When a buyer searches for a part on eBay or Google they will return in Best match listings that have compatibility. Buyers can also enter their registration number to ensure that the parts they are looking for will be a suitable fit for their vehicle or motorcycle.

Murray Lambell, eBay retail director parts & accessories told us: “Parts Compatibility is designed to support both sellers and buyers. It enables a seller to show a list of vehicles that a part or accessory is compatible with, within a single listing. It help shoppers easily find the correct item and in turn lowers returns. eBay is constantly evolving its user face to create better experiences for both shoppers and sellers”.

If you want eBay to be able to highlight your products on Google and make sure your parts are surfaced to buyers in eBay search, then get your items revised as soon as possible to add Parts Compatibility.
