“I love a great big box.”
That’s not something I expected someone to tell me at IRX at the Birmingham NEC but it does seem to be typical of the approach of next generation fulfilment and logistics firm Cync and the candour of Debbie Catterick, the Head of Customer and Fulfilment Operations there. They’re looking at fulfilment in a different way. You can check out the video here.
One thing that Cync is keen to fulfil the niche for is outsized freight. As Debbie pointed out, Cync can ship a treadmill in the blink of an eye and is also happy and keen to deal with other items competitors might wince at. Needless to say they also process other, more regular sized items too, making them a good prospect for any seller who vends a variety of items.
And Debbie herself inspires confidence too because she’s been there and done that. Debbie has a very decent pedigree as an ecommerce retailer and manager in her own right. Not many people in the industry can claim the same.
And the company is growing too and they’re plugged into the existing marketplaces using APIs too: “We work in partnership with both SMEs and high street brands to deliver a complete ecommerce fulfilment service or offer supporting capacity to existing in-house operations. Through deployment of the very latest warehouse management technology, Cync integrates with all sales platforms to handle the full process from receipt of order to tracking to the doorstep. Not only that, being a division of the Sunline Group, Cync can offer additional services including inventory management, data management, marketing and insert and mailing campaigns.”
