Following the launch in February of four channels to segregate news into different areas of interest (Merchants, Retails and Brands, Suppliers and Industry Insiders), we announced the launch of new Tamebay Topic pages. Alongside each topic you’ll find an in depth Tamebay Position Paper to accompany each subject.

We aim to capture different news which crosses multiple marketplaces and channels and collate the news on the different subjects to make it easier for you to find when it’s of interest. Each week we will release a new position paper and this week we turn our focus to Marketplace Fulfilment.

Marketplace’s aim is to help retailers sell as many products as possible in the most efficient and economical manner. They have partnered with existing fulfilment services where they’ve been available but when no existing solution is available they build their own. Unlike traditional carriers and fulfilment house, the new solutions and services have been specifically designed for online commerce, unhampered by legacy systems or existing customers.

Starting from scratch has enabled marketplaces to build new and innovative fulfilment solutions with the sole aim of selling more product and, unless the marketplace is also a retailer, that means helping you as a merchant shift more stock.
