eBay Start-Up Award Winner - Sheena Chail of Luxury Designer Bag

It was an absolute delight to meet Sheena Chail of Luxury Designer Bag at the eBay for Business Awards and discover that her family run a sweet shop, not a million miles from where I live. I’ll be popping in soon to stock up before Christmas! However, having spent many years helping her family run their successful small business, Sheena started selling smaller items on eBay in her spare time – entrepreneurship obviously runs in the family!

After being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, this only reinforced Sheena’s desire to pursue a career that would provide flexibility and keep her heart, soul and mind healthy and fulfilled. So, she took the plunge and started out on her full-time selling journey in the form of Luxury Designer Bag.

Starting out wasn’t easy for Sheena, with no start-up funding meaning things were slow in the beginning. However, following months of graft – underpinned by her entrepreneurial spirit – the business began to take off, with Sheena reaching the VAT threshold within just eight months of trading.

It’s safe to say that Sheena hasn’t looked back since, with the business continuing to go from strength to strength. But not being content with her early success, Sheena is now on a mission to keep driving the business forward, all while championing the circular economy and helping her luxury items find a loving home, and that’s what won her an eBay for Business Start-Up Award.

The Start-Up Award recognises businesses that have combined the power of imagination, innovation and steely determination to start a successful business, which has also been able to impact the world in a meaningful way. Luxury Designer Bag, is an inspirational small business, not only for Sheena’s amazing products that are always beautifully displayed, but for a wider commitment to circular fashion and driving positive change!
