eBay postpone ban on active content

No primary category set

At eBay Live last June, eBay announced that they would be limiting the content which could be included on the view item page. Active content was to be banned, and HTML and javascript were to be limited to a “white list” of code deemed safe and incapable of capturing user data or otherwise interfering with the eBay experience.

The Developers’ Program blog said today that this plan has been put on hold: eBay say “when we decide to consider it again, we will give you plenty of warning.”
