We’ve written about MPD Group before, but they’ve been continuing on their impressive growth story. There is now a suite of delivery products and services as well as a new, updated brand to show off. As well as the MyParcelDelivery.com comparison site, they also offer checkout personalisation and a delivery management platform that integrates with your warehouse operations.

We sat down with David Grimes, founder and CEO of Sorted, to find out more about recent developments:

Who are Sorted?

Sorted is the new name and the next evolution of the MPD Group.

We formed the MPD Group in 2010, as it was obvious that online sellers, carriers, retailers and customers were just putting up with bad delivery experiences and we wanted to tackle those problems head on.

Earlier this year, it felt like the right time to bring our product family together under a name and a brand that’s as disruptive, brave and innovative as we feel – with a gentle nod to our Manchester roots. Sorted, with our ‘hand of good’ logo, is the delivery experience company.

By harnessing the power of tech, we’re transforming the world of deliveries from a complex battle of logistics into a simple, seamless experience. There’s a gap in the delivery experience, and we’re on a mission to fix it.

What services do you offer?

MyParcelDelivery.com is the rapid parcel delivery comparison site making sending simple. We’ve negotiated big discounts and deals with top carrier partners, passing the savings onto our customers. With loyalty offers, marketplace integrations and around 50 delivery services, it’s no wonder we serve over 200 countries and over 100,000 customers per year.

SortedHERO (formerly Basket Hero) powers online checkout personalisation. The plug-in lets online sellers give customers the control they crave – driving up your order conversion rate and reducing basket abandonment.

SortedPRO (formerly Electio) is the delivery management platform for larger retailers that seamlessly integrates into existing warehouse systems. It copes with labelling, global dispatching, invoice reconciliation and advanced analytics.

Later this year we’re also launching the SortedApp. Intuitive and innovative; it makes it possible for customers to manage deliveries and returns from multiple retailers all in one place.

What’s the latest news from the Sorted office?

There are loads of exciting things going on!

MyParcelDelivery.com has just launched a really disruptive new Marketplace Tool to make life easier for eBay sellers.

Sellers simply log in to their eBay account through our site and our clever tech pulls all the order information through. There are a huge number of couriers and services to send with, then it’s really easy to track deliveries all in one place.

Plus, not only are we still buzzing about our new rebrand, but we’ve also just announced that Missguided is the latest name to appoint SortedPRO for handling their returns process. All this on top of the fact that by the end of the year we will have doubled the size of our team. Things are moving fast!

What would My Parcel Delivery’s ideal customer look like?

Online sellers don’t want to waste time and money at the Post Office. Dealing directly with different couriers can be expensive and often confusing.

My Parcel Delivery was actually an idea that came to me when I was running a small ecommerce business myself. So, we created a solution that made sending parcels simple.

We’ve worked with eBay sellers since our launch in 2010, so we know their business inside out. Our customers are usually sending lots of parcels to different addresses, at different speeds with different budgets. We’ve got a number of ways to make this process easier; with bulk sending tools, CSV upload and, of course, our new Marketplace Tool to help save time and money.

What makes My Parcel Delivery different?

My Parcel Delivery is perfect for the beginning of the journey. When a business grows and parcel volumes rise significantly, we can help customers move to other Sorted solutions that support their growth.
